The riot police carry a high degree of responsibility at demonstrations and public protests. They must guarantee the right to freedom of expression and at the same time maintain order. This demanding task requires constant further training.

Against this background, the EUAM Iraq conducted a two-day workshop on human rights-based policing and use of force for the Law Enforcement Forces Command. The workshop aimed to enhance the understanding of human rights standards and their impact on policing and decision-making at major events.
