EUAM Iraq Deputy Head of Mission, Mr. Benny Jensen visited the Al Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies (ANCSS) to bid farewell to his Iraqi partners and the Mission’s counterparts. Mr. Jensen is ending his tour of duty in Iraq after serving almost 5 years both in EUAM Iraq and the UNDP.

During the visit, the Mission donated 90 security related books to the center’s library. The pur-pose of the donation is to improve the scientific standards of the Iraqi think tank.

Additionally, some first aid and COVID-19 prevention materials were handed over to the center in order to ensure a safe working environment for our Iraqi counterparts during the pandemic.

The Director General of the Center, Mr. Ali Nasir thanked Mr. Jensen for the donation as well as for his dedicated service and efforts to promote peace in Iraq. Mr. Nasir assured the firm com-mitment of the ANCSS to the strategic partnership with the EU and the Mission.
