Participants were also briefed on the State Border Guard College and its training system for border personnel.

By exchanging on European best practices and working with partners such as the Latvian State Border Guard Service and Frontex, the visit will help Iraqi counterparts further develop procedures and inter-agency cooperation in line with Iraq’s National Integrated Border Management Strategy.
