Building Sustainable Female Leadership Networks in Iraq
28-09-2025

EUAM Iraq continued its support to the Female Leadership Development Programme with a series of peer-to-peer learning sessions.

Working in small groups and guided by a lecturer from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University in the Netherlands together with EUAM Iraq’s Senior Strategic Advisor on Human Resources Management, participants enhanced their skills in using diagnostic tools to address leadership challenges. They also practised mentoring and coaching methods designed to strengthen one another’s professional growth.

The programme will now move forward with informal peer mentoring and a further round of structured advisory sessions in November. The establishment of this peer network will be concluded with a plenary event for all alumnae early next year.
These interventions are about sustainability and reinforcing the Ministry’s internal peer network of women leaders and equipping them to guide one another.

As female leadership training becomes more established in the Ministry of Interior, this network will serve as a support structure for future participants, said EUAM Iraq’s Senior Strategic Advisor on Human Resources Management.
Through these efforts, EUAM Iraq supports the Ministry of Interior in strengthening institutional capacity, empowering women leaders, and embedding sustainable structures for leadership development
