EUAM Iraq, in close cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), co-delivered a workshop on Crisis Management for Community Police officers from the Ministry of Interior.
The workshop focused on strengthening crisis response capacities, with discussions covering command and control procedures, crowd management, cooperation with Law Enforcement Forces Command (LEFC), and strategies to maintain police presence and public trust during emergencies. Participants also explored the role of Community Police in addressing community unrest, responding to environmental crises and supporting major incident management.
"Enhancing the crisis management skills of Community Police officers is an essential part of securing fast and effective on-scene crisis response to build safer communities across Iraq," concluded EUAM Iraq’s Senior Strategic Adviser on Command and Control/Crisis Management.
The workshop forms part of EUAM Iraq’s ongoing efforts to support the development of a more effective, community-oriented policing approach in Iraq.
