In support of ongoing efforts to improve safety at major sporting events across the country, EUAM Iraq recently held a focused workshop on 'Managing Major Sporting Events' in Halabja. The workshop in Halabja is part of a series across Iraq, to enhance safety at major sporting events.

The workshop brought together high-ranking commanders from the Halabja Police to discuss international best practices in crowd management, stadium security, and effective communication strategies.

As part of a series of workshops held in Baghdad, Basrah, Erbil, Duhok, and Sulaymaniyah, the Halabja session continues the effort to address regional needs while fostering strategies for enhancing security at local sporting events.

“With this series of workshops, we aim to support Iraq in achieving international standards in sports event management, contributing to a safer and more secure environment for future competitions,” explained EUAM Iraq’s Senior Strategic Adviser.
