During 3 days EUAM Iraq delivered high level workshops in Duhok, Kurdistan region. The first day was dedicated to the Duhok criminal police and covered organised crime, the fight against drugs and crimes on the dark web.
The following days dealt with leadership, good governance, community policing, as well as strategic conflict reducing principles, dialogue and negotiations during policing protests and the use of force. All workshops were tailor-made and the participants were hand-picked according to the topic and learning curve, usually high-ranking police officers.
The workshop contained theoretical input, which was then transferred into practice using concrete examples and simulations. "We really appreciated the engagement and reflection on their role in serving the public. The female officers in particular showed a high level of professionalism, which is very important for creating an inclusive police force", said one of the EUAM Iraq strategic advisors.
